The roots to Helen’s ceramics and art works lie in natural forms. They also reach into the deep history of ceramics: she has explored new forms of terra sigillata, the ancient process of manipulating fine slip surface (Portfolio Series 1 through 4 [Link] [Link] [Link] [Link]) and porcelain with accompanying work in encaustic/acrylic [Link – series 5] [Link – series 6].

Throughout her career, Helen has always enjoyed working in both two and three dimensions. Of late, her artwork has come to represent growth and the beautiful sense of order that nature provides.

Helen is based in Palo Alto, California.
